5 reporter shows us, people are hoping for the best but they are preparing for the worst. >> reporter: from swollen creeks to flooded lots, here is the latest storm. >> we are looking at a foot and a half of water in the center part of the park. >> reporter: that is the park that fireman's group owns and maintains. >> there is not a lot we can do about it. we tried sandbagging in the past but it is fruitless. >> reporter: they topped the banks this morning. >> we have to come in and shovel it all out and replant the grass and clean our bathrooms, a huge job. >> reporter: a few miles away -- >> it is a little dramatic, i think. >> reporter: this trucking company's parking lot is now part of the creek that ran behind it, the dumpster sitting in several inches of water. >> we moved all of the trucks that were there. and i am worried about my guy's trucks that are over here. so, it is coming fast. that is what i don't understand. >> since we don't know how much rain will come for the rest of the week businesses are preparing for the worst. they have sandbags at the ready

sedillo shows us, what he took from her was much more valuable than money. >> i heard him say, i'm going to kill your dog. >> 12 years old pekingese, sweetest thing ever. >> reporter: she asked not to be named. so we won't show her face. this woman was robbed yesterday not only of money but her best friend roxy who she loved most on this earth. >> she's my best friend of the she was always there. >> reporter: she had lost her phone in her car, so she parked to look for it at leavenworth and golden gate when a man approached her. >> he said, give me all your [bleeping] money. >> reporter: she then rifled through her pockets and found only $5 and roxy started barking. >> he said i'm to kill your [bleeping] dog. >> reporter: after a struggle he made good on his promise. >> he grabbed roxy from her collar. i heard her fly through traffic. she threw her into oncoming traffic. >> reporter: rockscy was rushed to the emergency room but it was too late. >> they said she was in critical condition. so i had to put her down. >> it was horrendous. >> he hurled the dog into moving traffic. >>

school shooting in u.s. history. today the medical examiner identified all the victims killed at sandy hook elementary school in connecticut. 20 children all ages 6 and 7 died along with 6 adults. all were shot multiple times at close range by an assault rifle. investigators also say the shooter forced his way into the school and about an hour ago, president obama announced he will attend a memorial service tomorrow in newtown. >>> cbs reporter ines ferre is live in newtown, connecticut where investigators are piecing together what happened. ines. >> reporter: well, ann, it's been a day of mourning here in newtown and across the nation as families are grieving the loss of loved ones and a community tries to pull together. 12-year-old jocelyn cardenaz came from danbury, connecticut it drop off flowers at a memorial for the 26 people killed at sandy hook elementary school. >> even though we didn't know anyone directly just hurt because you never know what's going to happen next. >> reporter: she is one of many grieving for those gunned down in newtown, connecticut friday morning

ferrari tells us the deejays are off the job indefinitely. >> reporter: they expressed their sorrow outside the building where saldinha's body was found. officials at the hospital sent the letter saturday to the owners of the australian radio station condemning the actions of two of its deejays. applied a hoax that some say may have contributed to the 46- year-old's death. >> i think it's a terrible shame that she felt she had to do something so tragically sad. for something that was just a stupid joke. >> reporter: on tuesday she trafficked a call to -- transferred a call to another nurse. that nurse then gave a detailed report of kate's condition to the deejays who were impersonating the queen and prince charles. >> the people who have done it. they may have done it as a prank but they didn't think of the consequences afterward. >> reporter: they agreed to suspend their show indefinitely. their boss says the deejays are shocked. >> our primary concern is to the family, the nurse saldinha. this is a tragic event that could not have been reasonably foreseen. and we're deeply saddene
